The presentation of the nation’s colors on horseback set the stage for the Mid-Season Championship races at the Milton, Florida speedway.  Out of seven feature events only Nick Poole, in the Open-Wheel Modifieds, claimed victory in the Mid-Season Championship race as the reigning division point leader.

Jerry Venable sat on the pole for the Vintage Mid-Season Championship race. On the outside front row was  William Nelson. Following driver introductions the field rolled off for the start of the evening’s first event. As the green flew it was Venable out front but Randy Morris dug hard inside to pull to the point out of turn two.  Lap five saw John Cody pull to third over Nelson as Jerry Bohlman ran fifth with Glen Porter on his bumper.  Caution waved on lap thirteen when Don Hall got sideways in four ahead of the leaders. Taking evasive action Morris got sideways low as Cody pulled to the lead with Venable second. Morris crossed third. Cody led to the restart taking the lead.  Caution flew on lap seventeen when 12 and 11 went around in turn two. Cody holds the lead with Venable second, Morris in third,  Nelson fourth and Porter at fifth. Back under green Cody opened a small gap between himself and Venable.  Caution reared its head again on lap twenty two when Nelson spun in two and Porter tagged him. Cody again led to the green. With one to go it was all Cody at the point with Point Leader Venable second and Morris third. After the checkered flag Jerry Bohlman received the black flag for unsportsmanlike driving after running Nelson up to the top of the back straight. Morris was disqualified in post-race tech, moving Porter into the third spot.

Nick Poole led the field of Open-Wheel Modifieds to the green flag for their Mid-Season Championship race with Leb Morris on the outside of the front row. With green in the air it was Poole out front following a brief side-by-side run out of four. Morris runs second with David Seffens Jr. at third.  Caution flew on lap four when

Dean Shaw led the Hobby field to green with Howie Reeves outside. Under green it was Shaw into the lead while Reeves and Kevin Jernigan battled for second. Caution flew on lap two when Matt Miley, Jim Jarvis and Jay Jones get together out of turn two. Shaw leads to the caution with Jernigan second and John Slay at third.  Back under green Reeves wasted no time diving inside Slay to take

Shaw again took to the lead. At lap eight Fower runs inside Reeves to move into third before Carl Wilkerson and Slay went around in two to bring out caution. Shaw led the field to the restart once again, as Fowler looks inside Jernighan without success, falling in line at third.  Lap ten saw Reeves take third back from Fowler inside on turn four as Shaw remains at the point with Jernigan at second. By lap seventeen Shaw runs with nearly a full straight advantage over Jernigan. Caution flew on lap twenty-three when Thomas  Myers spun in two. Shaw led to the yellow with Reeves having taken over second. Jernigan runs third, Fowler fourth with Dale Bush rounding out the lead five. Back green Shaw took back out into the lead but with one to go Shaw spun in four, handing the lead and win to Reeves.  Jernigan crossed in second with Fowler third.

The Crate Late Models rolled next with season point leader Randy Polk on the pole with Joseph Joiner at second on the outside of the front row.  Polk took the point as the green flew with Joiner second and Steven Jernigan at third. When Jernigan bobbled in four Craig Turner moved to third. Caution waved on lap one when Martin Liland Jr and Taylor Jarvis got together. Polk led the field to the restart, holding the lead with Joiner at second and Turner third. Caution flew on lap three when John Melton slowed on the back straight with no change in position out front. As green flew it was  Kilpatrick to the lead as Kyle Bryant, David Windham and Porter ran three wide for second with Windham pulling to the position. Bryant moved into third with Porter fourth. By lap four Porter had regained third while Michael Porter pulled to fourth over Bryant. Caution flew on lap seven when J.D. Rutherford spun low in turn four. Kilpatrick led Windham to the yellow with P. Porter third, M. Porter fourth and Bryant in fifth. As the green flag waved once more it was Kilpatrick out front once again with the field stringing out single file behind. Caution waved on lap eleven when Billy Copple went around in turn four. Kilpatrick led to the caution with Windham still at second and P. Porter third. Kilpatrick again led the way to the green. Windham pulled inside Kilpatrick down the back straight and into turn three the two made contact which lasted to the front straight when the two turned low and stopped as caution flew on lap thirteen.  P. Porter runs at the point now with Bryant at second and M. Porter in third. Bradey Reeves holds fourth with Larry Murphy fifth. No changes up front as the race ran green again until lap seventeen when Reeves came to a stop on the front straight. P. Porter led to the yellow with Bryant second and M. Porter at third. Caution again waved on lap nineteen when Cory Butler got into the back of Kilpatrick and spun in two. Porter again brought the field to green. Lap twenty saw M. Porter with a run inside Bryant, passing his Brother P. Porter into the lead. When P. Porter got sideways in two, and was tagged by Copple caution flew again. M. Porter brought the field to green with Kilpatrick at second and Butler in third.  M. Porter led to the checkered flag with Kilpatrick taking second and Buter third.
