The Bronson Motor Speedway is “Getting
Back to Grassroots Racing” with the return of Weekly Regular
Racing action

Lexington, Michigan (03/19/2008): The ASA Late
Model Series Southern Division Presented by GM Performance Parts
continues preparations for the 2008 Season Opener, the Bronson
100 at the fast 0.333 Mile High-Banked Paved Oval of the Bronson
(FL) Motor Speedway.
On Friday and Saturday, March 28-29, 2008 the
ASALMS Southern Division will invade the Sunshine State speed
plant located West of Gainesville in Bronson, Florida which saw
an ASALMS Southern Division record, at the time, 41 teams made
their way to the Mike Cope Owned facility to take part in the
2007 opener!
The Bronson 100 Entry Form is available and due
at the ASALMS Home Offices in Lexington, Michigan by Monday, March
24, 2008 to avoid the late fees. To download the Bronson 100 Entry

Joining the ASALMS Southern Division will be
the Bronson Weekly divisions of Limited Sportsmen, Super Stocks,
Thunder Stocks, and Hornets. The Bronson Weekly divisions recently
kicked off their 2008 regular season and have raced Two (2) weekends
so far.
A full line-up is once again on tap this Saturday,
March 22, 2008 featuring the weekly divisions of Limited Sportsmen,
Super Stocks, Thunder Stocks, and Hornets. Plus in honor of Easter
Weekend, the Easter Bunny will join the racing action and will
be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids.
As for the first two weeks of regular racing
action, in the Limited Sportsmen division, which is the premiere
regular division at Bronson on Saturday nights, Mike Baker and
Shelton Bowers have each taken home feature wins while Baker leads
the points standings.
In the Super Stocks division, Brent Cooper and
Hal Robertson have each picked up feature wins as Cooper is the
points leader. Finally in the Thunder Stocks, Bill Ryan and Bobby
Taylor have each recorded Feature Wins as Taylor is the current
points leader.
The newly created Hornet Division features both
a Junior Division (14-17 year olds) and a Senior Division and
teams are still in the process of building cars and competing
on a weekly basis. Once the car counts are up, points will then
begin being kept in an effort to crown 2008 champions.
Promoter Mike Cope purchased the 0.333 Mile High-Banked
Paved Oval in 2001 and has made vast amounts of improvements to
his race track. The speedway has many amenities available for
camping with electricity and water available at some of the pit
slabs as well as a spacious parking lot to park motor homes.
During the Winter Months, the Bronson Motor Speedway
is available for rental Testing, Driving Schools, Chassis Seminars,
Touring Series Events, and other rental opportunities as well.

Seven days a week rental availability as well
as Daytime and Nighttime Hours are all available for rental! The
Bronson, Florida speed plant is also available to host any event
from Car Club Shows, Arts and Craft Shows, to Swap Meets, to Poker
Runs! Any type event, get a hold of the track.
For the 2008 season and under the direction of
General Manager, Tommy Dunford, Limited Sportsman, Super Stocks,
Thunder Stocks, and Junior and Adult Hornets Divisions serve as
the Regular Racing Program on Saturday nights up through September
27, 2008.
In addition to the 2008 ASALMS Southern Division
Season Opener, special events scattered throughout the 2008 season
includes visits from the Miniature Motorsports Racing Association
Series (MMRA) and the FAST Series Mini Cups as well as the Florida
Series Mini Cups and Figure 8s.
Another highlight of the year is the exciting
Crash-A-Rama featuring School Bus Figure 8s, a Full Size and Compact
Demolition Derby, a Skid car Race, a Reverse Race, a Roller Derby,
and so much more.
Located 15 miles Southwest of Gainesville, three
miles East of Bronson on State Road 24. Coming from Ocala, Florida
and South; Take Route 27 to Bronson, turn right at only light
in Bronson (State Road 24), three miles and the track is on right.
Coming from Gainesville and North, take Route 24 exit and head
West for 15 miles and the track is on the left.
